What is this?

Hot Girl Sunny is a community dedicated to creating content centering around the women of One Piece. We host a number of events, big and small. Currently, our largest event is a Big Bang!A Big Bang is a collaborative fandom event where authors and artists work together to create complementary pieces.Writers, artists and betas will fill out a participant form at the same time. They'll be paired up based on their rankings in the participant survey. Together, they'll decide on the direction of their project.Writers will work on a 15k word minimum fic based on their idea, and artists will develop 2 works of art to accompany it.Once completed, their project will be scheduled for release so each day gets to celebrate a different completed project!

Participant Surveys open 2/1/2025.To join, you have to be a part of our Discord (linked above!)Once you join, you can find the link to our participant survey inside the #project-announcements channel.

General Rules1. This event is open to EVERYBODY, but when joining the server, you need to designate if you are a minor.2. By filling out the participant survey, you commit to participating in the event. Do not sign up to drop out.3. This event will not include co-writing.4. Writers, artists, and beta are allowed to join as a pre-paired team. All parties must fill out participant surveys. Please DM a moderator upon filling out your survey that you want to be paired with your prepair.5. Responsiveness is expected. You are expected to respond to your partners within 36 hours. If you are consistently unresponsive, mods will reach out 3 times. If you do not respond/correct the issue/create a solution, you will be dropped.6. Dropping out is obviously not ideal. Please do not sign up just to drop out. If you do need to drop out, the guidelines are below. If you haven't filled out the participant survey, no need to notify anybody. If you need to drop out after filling out the form but BEFORE pairs are made, please DM a mod. We will pull your information out.If you drop out from one pair, you drop from the entire event. Don't overcommit.Declining to be a pinch hitter =/= dropping out.Last chance to drop out will be before Check-in 3 to ensure the pinch hitter has enough time to finish
If as a writer, you drop, your writing will not be used by the pinch hitter, but the idea/outline/proposal will be used if the artist wants to continue with the idea
7. Matching will be completed based on the participant surveys, based on ranking forms. If we can't match you to your top 3 characters/pairs, we will reach out to you with alternate suggestions or options. We cannot guarantee you'll be paired with your favorites or rarepairs.Depending on the mix of writers and artists, writers/artists/beta who opt into it might have multiple pairings.8. Check-ins will involve filling out a form and providing proof of progress. You have 4 months to write 20k words, or 5k a month.Check-in 1: Confirming your planning phase. Fic idea is finalized, schedule is set, prepared for success.Check-in 2: 25% done. Completed outline, scenes in progress, sketches of art work.Check-in 3: 50% done. Fic is well on its way, art is being linearted/colors began.Check-in 4: 75% done. Fic is nearly completed, beta should be proofreading. Art should be on final touches.Check-in 5: Everything is complete, and you are on the schedule for posting. You've let us know how the art should be presented with the fic, and fic is drafted in AO3.9. Extensions are available if you are unable to make a checkin. Checkins have a loose definition as we're just looking for proof of progress. However, if you fall behind, you will want to ask for an extension.Make sure to speak with your partner so they understand you are delayed.Reach out to a moderator to request an extension. If you are repeatedly delayed / fear you might not finish, it will warrant a conversation.
